About Us
本文作者

Yaozheng Song, the creator of this project, graduated from the Design Media Arts program at UCLA. Over the course of his study, he also pursued a minor in Disability Studies—an experience that introduced and inspired his passion for disability rights.

Yaozheng believes that disability rights concern and benefit everyone. No one remains perfectly able throughout life; illness and aging eventually affect us all. A society that fails to treat its disabled population with equality ultimately puts every individual at risk. Promoting and protecting disability rights, therefore, is essential to everyone's well-being.

Color blindness is often not considered a disability because its impact on daily life appears minimal. Yet Yaozheng chose to focus on color blindness because Gaokao–the college admission system in China–profoundly impacts millions of colorblind individuals. Although he is not colorblind himself, Yaozheng understands the impact through the lasting trauma it caused to a family member. Through this project, he hopes to contribute to change—so that one day, colorblind individuals will no longer face discrimination under outdated policies in Gaokao.
